Board Meetings

School District No. 67 (Okanagan Skaha) is governed by a Board of Education, publicly elected every four years to represent the interests of local school communities in public schools. The current board of seven trustees represent the communities of Kaleden, Naramata, Penticton, Summerland and West Bench.

Governance of the school district is enhanced through the effective operation of committees and trustee assignment to both boards and agencies and to regular liaison processes with schools. Separate committees and school liaisons have been established to deal with specific areas within the Board's jurisdiction.​

All Board meetings are conducted according to Policy and are open to the public and media. Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Board appreciates your interest in the proceedings and if you have a question regarding an agenda item, please submit your question prior to the meeting via email to: [email protected].  Please include your name and affiliation or partner group and contact information.  A staff member will read your question to the Board and if your question is not answered during the meeting, a written response will be provided. 

Delegation

The Board values input from individuals and groups. During meetings, the Board officially welcomes visitors and delegations. If you wish to present a delegation to the Board, please submit your request eight (8) days before the regular Board meeting.  Decisions regarding delegations go through the Board Chair and Vice Chair at agenda setting.  Delegations are asked to limit their presentation to 10 minutes.  To submit your request, or if you have any questions, please contact [email protected]
